How does a ventilation fan works?
Whenever you need fresh air, simply switch on your ventilation fan. As soon as you switch on the ventilation fan the shutters on the backside (outside) open automatically allowing the hot air from inside to escape outside and bringing in fresh air from outside. As soons as you switch off the ventilation fan the shutter lowers down and the fan is off.
Which side remains inside, The side with fan blade or the one with shutters ?
When you install a ventilation fan the side with the blade will be visible from inside and the side with shutters will be visible from outside.
What is the advatage of installing a ventilation fan in comparison to a fresh air fan?
A ventilation fan is fitted with a shutter to prevent entry of foreign matter (like dust, birds, rats etc.) when it is off and at the same time provides fresh air as soon as you switch it on.
